Thank you for letting the Traveling Boxcar come to the Buzzard Roost Railroad Layout in Swords Creek,Va.  It left Swords Creek,VA today, March 20,2007 for Clarksville TN to visit James Lavery.

I put a Railroad pass in the souvenir box that belonged to my grandfather that was dated 1944.  He worked on the N&W for 55 yrs and was killed in an accident on the railroad in April 1950.  He was only 13yrs. old when he went to work for the N&W.

The Traveling Boxcar arrived in my home town riding behind the famous "Load Of Marble"
to make the unknown soldiers monument in Arlington Va.

We found out later that the Traveling Boxcar was hauling a load of hay.
Here it is going by the world famous "Dirty Bill's Saloon".

Here is the Traveling Boxcar passing by "Christmas Town" and the big shadow of the "Empire State Building."

The "Circus Train" is seen crossing Lake Ann,  I hope those painters don't get any paint on that white box.

Approaching the Buzzard Roost Circus.

It won't be long before those animals get some hay.

Here the Traveling Boxcar is getting ready to back off in the "Circus Siding".

Leaving the Circus for the yard.

Leaving on the N&W manifest freight with a load of "Ole Yellow Jacket Whiskey",
packed in hay for Clarksville Tenn.

Ann and I enjoyed hosting the "Traveling Boxcar" in Swords Creek, Virginia.
