Peter Atonna

On May 22, 2004 the Traveling Boxcar made its stop in Paulden, Arizona.
Peter sent in an extra picture and with an extra "Jack" under my belt, I couldn't decide which picture to drop.

Here are the shots of the Traveling Boxcar on the Seligman and Paulden Lines of Peter Atonna in Paulden, Arizona.
Nice shots Peter!

The S&P lines received the LV 2004 in interchange from the Southern Pacific at the S&P's Southern terminus,
Douglas.  Here the yard switcher is setting the car off to be picked up by a northbound S&P freight.

The S&P lines, frugally, does not own any motive power of its own, but uses leased power from other lines.
Here, our Northbound S&P freight is leaving the Douglas yards, heading to the Northern terminus of the railroad
at Seligman.  Luck us, we drew an SP AC-9 for today's power.
No slow down on the hills today.

Here we are rounding the curve while coming out of the cut south of Alhambra.

Paulden is but a flag stop, and we hardly slow down roaring through town.

We are already at Seligman, and our interchange with the ATSF main line.  We need to get
LV 2004 into the interchange track quickly before the Chief, pulled by ATSF 3751, is ready to leave!

LV 2004 is on its way east toward St. Louis and its next stop.  But, the word about the Traveling Boxcar got
out and the railfan community is out in force to get some shots of this famous consist.
We caught a few of them on the Feather Mountain Road overpass with the Eastbound below.
