Unbeknowst to me, the boxcar arrived monday, October 25th.  My wife set it in the trainroom without telling me, assuming I bought something on eBay.  Being very busy at work last week, I didn't notice it until the 28th!  Needless to say, the actual time the boxcar spent riding the rails of my layout was brief.  It did have enough time to deliver a fresh load of Boddington's Pub Ale!  After completing its express delivery, it was off to Lee Wood for the New York train show.

My layout is small at 9X5 feet.  Unfortunately, I am somewhat limited on space.  It is based on a track plan that was featured this past year in CTT magazine (sorry Rich!).  The plan featured an 027 layout in a 4X8 area.  I reproduced it with 031 track and added the outer loop of Realtrax with 042 curves.  I guess you could call it a Post War layout with an identity crisis!  Other touches include mostly Lionel operating accessories.  It is far from finished, as I have to finish adding green turf, ballast, etc.
