It was so great to see you all at the reunion. What fun we still have together!
I wish I had some exciting adventurous story to tell here, but I'm afraid it is only wonderful to me, because it is mine. I haven't changed my name, jumped out of a heliocopter, lived for long periods in a foreign land or done anything in show business.
Instead, I've been married to the same terrific guy, Paul Morgan, for almost 25 years. We have two incredible sons, Jack (22) and Paul (the younger) (20). We are all healthy and busy. I have been teaching since I left the New Gen in 1971. I took about 7 years off after my first son was born. Then I went back part time to teach reading to children transitioning from a foreign language into English reading. In 1989 I went back full time. Currently, I am teaching 2nd grade at Community Magnet School. It is a small elementary school with a humanities focus. Everyone at the school is called by their first name. It is a very warm, friendly place. Sort of the only remaining "hippie" school in LAUSD. I couldn't be happier! We have a diverse student body, an active parent group, and a truly incredible staff. I look forward to going to work every morning. (I know that sounds corny, but it's true.) My other major focus is my family. We spend a lot of time together. This Christmas we are going to Costa Rica for 10 days. I feel so lucky that our sons still want to travel around with Mom and Dad. My sisters Carla and Chris are still my closest, dearest friends. Life is really good.
I remember our days with the New Gen with such fondness. It is wonderful that some of us have hooked up again after all this time. I had fun participating with lots of you in Diane's show. (The green room discussions were too much.) And now Carla, Diane S., Robyn and I are really enjoying our tap lessons with Diane D. on Tuesdays. (5:00 in Diane's studio, if anyone else is interested.) I'm looking forward to going out to see Rick's show this December.
I love you all.
